Sonic also got a new victory pose and a turning animation. Sonic's Normals are also faster with them pushing opponents into a lower distance, allowing for higher comboability, and Chaos Shockwave, Chaos Shock and Sonic Lightning now have palette effects. Some of Sonic's animations also received some changes. Sonic's sprites now have shared palettes, resulting in 11 new palettes for Sonic. Sonic's Specials have been made to light, medium and heavy variations, with the Spin Dash Special receiving startup and ending frames, with the unused sprites for Sonic Lightning from the original version being used for the Hyper's startup. In this edit, Sonic's Attack and Defence stats were lowered.
